3D Workflow
Production-ready files, no back-and-forth
The problem
Your templates are cobbled together from photos and rough plans. When content arrives on site, it never matches the actual surface. The field technician sends back corrections, you rework under pressure, back-and-forth piles up.
The result: wasted time, stress, and a client who doubts your production pipeline.
The solution
I handle the entire 3D preparation pipeline, from the initial scan to delivery of files that work on the first try.
What I do for you
- 3D scanning of the projection surface
- Modeling optimized for your needs
- Clean, usable UV unwrapping
- 2D pattern and After Effects template creation
- Production-ready pixel map preparation
- Technical documentation

A real case: preparing 3000 sqm of projection surfaces
The Museum of Art and Light asked for projection files usable across 3000 sqm of surfaces, including complex volumes. The content studio needed reliable templates to produce the visuals.
Templates patched together from photos and rough plans never match the real support. On 3000 sqm and more than a hundred projectors, the slightest gap turns into endless back-and-forth between the studio and the field.
I took charge of the whole chain: 3D scan of the volumes, optimised modelling, clean UV unwrap, After Effects templates and a ready-to-use pixelmap. The studio received files that fit on the first try.
The content produced lined up with the real surfaces with no last-minute retouching. The production pipeline held, and the client did not have to doubt the chain.
What you get
Frequently asked questions
Why a 3D scan rather than photos and plans?
Because rough photos and plans never match the real support. A 3D scan gives a geometry at scale, usable directly. That is what removes the back-and-forth between the studio and the field.
What formats do you deliver in?
The standard formats of the trade: .OBJ, .FBX, .C4D, .BLEND for the 3D, .PSD for the templates, .AEP for After Effects, and the UV maps in PNG or EXR. I adapt to your pipeline.
What types of surfaces does it work for?
Facades, architectural volumes, scenographies, objects, LED walls. As soon as you need a precise projection file, the 3D scan is relevant.
Do you work alone or with my studio?
With your studio. I prepare the technical files, your studio produces the creative content. The initial brief is there to pin down exactly what your team needs.
How long does preparing a project take?
A simple scan and its modelling go out within a few days. A complex project with several volumes and a careful UV unwrap takes one to two weeks. The initial brief is there to set the precise deadline, and I hold to it.
